Blogging Platform

Choosing which blogging platform to use is one of the most important decisions that you can make as a blogger. So, I used WordPress.org since the beginning of my blogging journey.

Note: There are some blogging platform that is available which you can try, such as;

  1. WordPress.com a free hosted blogging platform. (if you confuse between wordpress.com and wordpress.org, please read this article: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org)
  2. Blogger.com – another free hosted blogging platform which owned by Google

 Hosting

 For my blog hosting, I used BlueHost because this is recommended by many bloggers as well as WordPress. There’s a lot of video tutorial on how to install WordPress and very affordable rate.

Blog Themes

My current blog theme is zeePersonal from ThemeZee, I used only a FREE version. So far I have no any problem encountered with the free version.

Images

For my article’s images, I used FREE images from pixabay.com but if you want quality photos for your blog I recommend the following.

  1. Shutterstock
  2. istockphoto

Photo Editor

For my photo editing, banner making, and graphic design I used PicMonkey and Snappa. They both offered the free and premium version. This site allows you to create social optimized images so you can start building your community and followers.

Plugin

Akismet Anti-Spam – with this plugin your blog is safe and protected from spam.

W3 Total Cache –   The top rated and best complete WordPress performance plugin. Totally increase the speed and user experience of your blogsite.

Yoast SEO – The great all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress. Which helps you easily optimize your website to make improved in search results

WPForms Lite – I used this user-friendly WordPress plugin as my contact form because of the Drag & Drop contact form builder.

Wordfence Security – For your site security use the Anti-virus, Firewall and Malware Scanner

About Author –  Simple but elegant you can display the blog author information in the sidebar or in the post.

Jetpack by WordPress.com –The Jetpack WordPress plugin has so many helpful features, such as; monitor the site downtime, prevent any malicious force attack, display related articles, spelling, and grammar checker, so on and so forth.
